Happiness is a complicated topic. There are many factors that can affect your happiness, and these factors don’t always align with our expectations.
It’s easy to assume that if we do a certain thing or have a certain experience, we won’t be happy until we have it. But this is not always true! For example, many people think that once they get married and have kids, their life will be perfect—but it’s often after having children that many people start feeling unhappy again (though their level of unhappiness may vary).
So what does make us happy? This question has been studied by psychologists for years now, though there isn’t one answer for everyone. Some psychologists say that happiness comes from inside ourselves; others think it depends on our external conditions like family relationships or financial situation; still, others believe that happiness comes from both internal factors as well as external ones combined together in just the right way at just the right time (kinda like hitting those sweet spots during an addictive video game).
Happiness is a state of mind you can control. You can choose to be happy and it’s up to you how you want to feel.
It is something you can train yourself to enjoy. Happiness is a skill that we all have the ability to cultivate in ourselves and others, but we must learn how first! How does our happiness calculator work? The Subjective Happiness Scale (SHS)
We use a scientific measure called the Subjective Happiness Scale (SHS) to determine your happiness. The SHS is defined by how you feel about your day-to-day life and is measured on a scale from 1 – 5.
