The total Coma Score has values between three and 15, three being the worst and 15 being the highest.
What does a 7 on the Glasgow Coma Scale mean?
Patients with a Glasgow Coma Scale score of 7 or less are considered comatose.
What does a Glasgow Coma Scale of 15 indicate?
The minimum score is a 3 which indicates a deep coma or a brain-dead state. The maximum is 15 which indicates a fully awake patient (the original maximum was 14, but the score has since been modified).
